Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 22, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Desk Clinic uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on our website and product.

What We Use

Desk Clinic uses a combination of browser cookies and local storage entries to make the site work, remember preferences, and understand service usage.

These technologies may be set by Desk Clinic or by service providers acting on our behalf.

Essential Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the website and application to function properly. These may include:

  • authentication and session cookies used to sign users in and keep sessions secure
  • preference cookies that remember language settings
  • interface cookies that remember sidebar state and layout preferences
  • security-related cookies used to protect accounts and requests
  • cookies or tokens used by Cloudflare Turnstile (or similar services) when you complete a challenge on sign-in, sign-up, or contact flows to reduce automated abuse

Because these technologies are required for core functionality, they cannot be fully disabled through our cookie banner.

Analytics Technologies

We use analytics technologies to understand traffic and improve the performance of Desk Clinic. This may include privacy-preserving website analytics and product usage measurement.

At the time of this update, Desk Clinic uses Vercel Analytics for aggregate usage insights and Vercel Speed Insights for real user performance metrics. Depending on your cookie choices on the marketing site, some analytics may be limited or deferred.

Local Storage

Some preferences are stored in your browser's local storage rather than cookies. For example, Desk Clinic stores:

  • your cookie consent choice
  • theme and interface preferences
  • certain locally cached application preferences such as selected context in the app

Local storage stays on your device until it is cleared by you or overwritten by the application.

Third-Party Technologies

Desk Clinic may rely on third-party providers that set or read cookies or similar technologies in connection with:

  • authentication
  • payments and checkout
  • analytics and performance monitoring
  • embedded or linked third-party services

Examples may include our payment provider, authentication provider, hosting provider, Vercel (analytics and speed insights), Cloudflare (including Turnstile), email delivery, SMS, and AI infrastructure providers when you use those parts of the product. Those third parties control their own technologies under their own policies.

What We Do Not Currently Use

Desk Clinic does not currently use third-party advertising cookies for behavioral advertising on the marketing site or product.

Managing Cookies and Local Storage

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

  • view stored cookies
  • delete existing cookies
  • block all cookies or only certain categories
  • block cookies from specific sites

You can also clear local storage from your browser settings. Blocking or clearing cookies and local storage may cause parts of Desk Clinic to stop working correctly.

Consent Choices

When you visit the marketing site, Desk Clinic may show a cookie banner that lets you record your cookie preference. That choice is stored locally in your browser so we can remember it on later visits.

Even if you deny non-essential cookies, we may still use essential cookies and similar technologies required to provide the site and service.

Retention

Different cookies and local storage entries remain for different periods. Some are deleted when you close your browser, while others remain until they expire or you remove them manually.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our technologies, providers, or legal obligations. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
